BIOGRAPHY
Official Bio
Shannon Dauphin is a professional writer, editor and researcher. Her writing career began before she even finished high school, and her work has steadily progressed over the last decade. She is now considered one of the most professional and personable writers in the freelance industry.
Her writing knows no bounds: She has written more short stories,
articles, columns and novels than she can count. When she’s not
writing works for other people, she’s penning her own novels in a
variety of genres and under a handful of pseudonyms.
Shannon adores the written word, and she loves taking the dreams of her
clients and turning them into reality. To that end, Shannon Dauphin
founded Dauphin Freelance in 2007, and is currently welcoming new
clients.
Personal Bios
About My Work
I am a professional writer who has been in the publishing game for
more than a decade. I remember well my first typewriter – it was
an old Royal, a gift from my grandfather, complete with sticking keys
and strike-out correction tape. From that point on, my hands were
regularly stained with ink from the ribbons, and my bedroom was
littered with carbon paper. I was nine years old.
Over the years since I have worked as an editor, editorial assistant,
proofreader, copywriter, web editor, columnist, publisher, songwriter,
freelance writer, and professional researcher. As a ghostwriter, I have
penned everything from cookbooks to horror novels. I am an accomplished
novelist in multiple genres, and I’m always looking for my next
writing challenge.
Apparently, my grandfather knew exactly what he was doing when he brought that old Royal home!
About My Life
When I’m not writing, I’m probably in the kitchen, covered
in flour and consulting cookbooks. I love to work in the garden and
shop for that one elusive antique that will make our collection
complete. I enjoy visits to historical sites, long drives down the
Natchez Trace Parkway, and quirky places off the beaten path. A long
weekend is always an excuse for a road trip, and who knows where we
will wind up?
I am happily married to Chuck Dauphin, a radio personality and fellow
writer. We have a handful of children and far too many pets. We all
reside in our historic home in Centerville, Tennessee.
